Welcome to Seniors’ Centre Without Walls

A dependable, supportive group and interactive learning centre connecting seniors with a variety of activities, programs and services from the comfort of their home.

Seniors’ Centre Without Walls (SCWW) is easy to join and enjoy for free. Now seniors in our area can be part of a community from the comfort of their own home. No computers are involved; individuals simply need a phoneline to connect with educational discussions, health and wellness activities, local history conversations, games sessions and service information. Seniors are not alone when they join this interactive telephone-based virtual seniors’ centre. It’s fun, free and easy!

If you or someone you know is finding it difficult to get out and be part of the community, Seniors’ Centre Without Walls will be available mornings and afternoons on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning March 22 until the end of May.

To register, please call the Welland Community Wellness Complex at 905-735-1700 ext. 4000 or email recreation@welland.ca and provide your name and phone number and all activities you wish to join.

Once registered, follow these steps to connect with your activity:

Come join my laughter-based therapy. You will Be guided through movement-based exercises combined with laughter. They say that laughter is good for the mind, body and soul! I hope to see you join in on the fun.
11:00am to 12:00pm Brian Mcgurrin: Let's Go to the Movies: the early 1950s
This presentation features some of the best songs from the movies of the early 1950s, interlaced with anecdotes about the singers, songs and composers who created them.

Join us to learn more about who the Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO) is and how they support unpaid caregivers across Ontario. In this presentation you will get a brief history of OCO, a better understanding of the landscape of caregiving in Ontario and learn about the information, and support they offer to caregivers regardless of age, where they live or diagnosis.
